Close Friend's List. Close Steam. Start Steam.

Steam will safe the size, position and state (I.E. open close) of the friend's list when it closes and restores them when it starts up again.

A stupid and useless feature that no one asked for.

For the Friends list to remember whether it was open or closed? It's been that way for ages.

Not working for us here. That 'friends' window appears each time after our computers start up. Any other way to get rid of that?
Should say that we are not using these computers for gaming, but for VR presentations. So, chatting with friends, or whatever this is for, is completely useless for us. Hence also the question if that 'feature' can be uninstalled or deactivated?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help us get rid of this annoyance.

For all of you who still don’t how to revert steam look to previous one (friends list and chat), I made a video of how to do this. The video is in polish language but I’m sure this is not a problem, you can see all what need to be done there.

@mgrugl

For me it worked. Did you close steam in the taskbar too? If you only close the window, it doesn't work.

@AnotherOne, thanks, closing Steam in the task-bar did the trick. Now I hope a future update doesn't mess that up again.
