How do I open the steam console on mac?

I need to access the steam console but i cannot figure out how to do so on a mac.
To make it less confusing as to which console i mean, I needed to access the one featured in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wHMuPpuu6aY

You should close steam first.
Press cmd+space and search for "Terminal" and open it. copy paste : "/Applications/Steam.app/Contents/MacOS/steam_osx -console" without " and press enter.
