Ps click the Cog on friends chat window, top right.
- open friends chat
- click the cog (top-right)
- go to notifications, and then you can disable whatever (although I didn't find anything about group events notifications... not sure what happened to those)
Still the offline mode would be great, and would be a nice way to quick-toggle between getting notifications (invisible mode) and not getting them (offline mode)
Follow my steps:
1. Right-click the steam icon of the task bar, the little one at the right, not the one as big as Chrome icon for example.
2. Click settings.
3. Go to interface.
4. Click on "Set taskbar preferences"
5. There you can select the offline option, then you press OK.
6. To go offline right click the steam icon and there you can change your status.
Again sorry for my english i did my best
Friends and Chat settings moved back into the regular client settings menu in 2023. There is also notifications in those setting menus.
This is why outdated information in old threads is bad.
