How? This isn't beta client its final client i'm using btw
Add...
But anyway i still rather just have the option to clear chat from images and posts...
Edit: option to disable chat image / video popups would also be nice and safe..
It's not sluggish for me at all.
In-game performance was affected during the beta stage.
As of now, all seems fine.
The UI isn't as disorienting since I've gotten used to it.
Sorry to hear that the launch parameters don't work on MAC.
Reverting to the old client for now and if it doesn't improve I'll probably switch to Discord for chat and social; their app is a joy to use by comparison. This update isn't ready for prime-time.
Thanks for the reply and sorry I stuffed up the order by deleting and reposting (with edits). I'm on a pretty old Mac, but the former version worked well and this is quite bad. I don't need in-chat GIFs or file-sharing so I'm better off sticking to that.
I should note that Discord seems to have most if not all the features of Steam's Friends & Chat yet it performs flawlessly. I also much prefer the Discord model with both chat rooms and friendship lists. But yeah, not impressed by this latest update; and neither are some other people I chatted to it seems, so I think they've got some work to do.
