Steam opens another item in taskbar
When I click the steam icon on my taskbar it opens another steam icon instead of launching from the icon I have pinned. Gyazo of situation: https://gyazo.com/5b24d230470ca9b74a9f09da5e7eacf7
As you can see there are two steam icons. The one that isnt opened is the one that I have pinned and the one that is opened appears when I click the pinned one.

That's because you've disabled taskbar grouping. Enable grouping and

+1, same issue here, don't really care for the UI update but I remember the one around 7-8 years ago and adapted all the same. this is the only thing that's truly pissing me off about the new update. pls fix :csgohelmet::csgohelmet:

Is your Friend's List open? That is a separate taskbar icon than the client.

No it's not. It does it even if I don't have the tab open.

I sorta found a fix. If you have steam pinned to your taskbar and you click on it it will open another icon. If you then unpin the original icon and pin the new icon then it will fix the problem. Steam should still look into this however.

Annoys the hell out of me as it takes up to much space & is messy as i have the pinned icon doing nothing then 2 tabs next to it, needs sorting out tbh.
