can i somehow get the old steam design back?

the new only changed a bit things but its horrible

old was fast and nice and new is strange, big and useless. old was good. nobody wanted anything else. only voicechat was not very good.

I take it you updated to the Steam Beta Client? You can revert back from settings.

Steam > Settings > Account > Beta Participation > Change > None.

You could opt out of the Steam client beta, but that only delays it. The answer is no.
And you really don't want the old Steam look.

Hum, I'm not amazed by the colour, but the blocky button design and simplicistic layout has its charme. Somewhere between Windows 3.11 and Norton Commander...
Any skins, that are good at simulating this?

Im not in the beta, but it seems the new version (from beta) was released to everyone.

This new chat layout sucks. I want the old version back.

No, nor would any sensible person want to go back to old chat... New chat is much better, even memory usage surprisingly from what I've seen.

Plus, better voice api, ability to post pics/soundcloud/vids/tweets.... why would you ever want to go back?
