Valve index parts for sale - HMD power adapter and cable 3wY adapter
I bought this index knowing I’d have an easy way to move it from one vr machine to another with just a quick cable swap. But they discontinued the usb c adapter. Sure ok fine. No problem. But please offer the power adapter and the hmd adapter cable as a part we can purchase! I need a spare for our other system. It’s a pain get on knees to unhook behind a computer and move to another room to do it again. I thought this would be simple like other vr headsets. And surely god forbid someone damages their adapter cable and needs replaced! I would have to buy a complete HMD kit to get these parts.

Please valve... I’ve sent 4-5emails to support only to be told to “watch out” and look at the valve index page for updates. I just want to talk to someone who can sell me these parts. It’s a real bummer not to be able to use my headset like we did with our HTC vive. We have two complete setups for vr and wanted to use the index for both rooms depending on how many people we have over to play.

I hope someone at valve can contact me to send me the HMD power adapter and 3way adapter cable. I expect it to be pricey like the usb C 40dollar adapter which “if it worked” would of been amazing and easy for our setup anyhow...

If you've already contacted support and they have already told you to wait and watch, that's the answer.

If it's been removed from sale, go to ebay.
I would like to talk to Valve about trying to order parts for the HMD. I just want to order the Breakaway 3 way cable. that's it? not much to ask is it?

Oh good!

What was the solution, did you find a supplier or did they finally get restocked?
I was able to get through to the right person at valve. And strongly suggested to make these available for other users since it’s a proprietary cable which is irreplaceable. So it’s a matter of time for someone’s dog or cat to chew that cable up and damage it. Or something like that. Anyhow, the one end is similar to display port but not the same. It’s slightly longer to carry a power and also usb signal. I believe the connector is made by occulink and have seen it on hp products too. But not sure what other choices valve had. It is nice to have one round cable instead of three. I must say. But this cable along with the Wallwart hopefully will be available in the store as a maintenance sort of part. Imo it is important even if they don’t sell many at all.

I bought Valve Index in August...accidentaly broke the power adapter in September. I opened a ticket, they promised me to send one for free. More than 3 months later, no adapter, just promises. They have custome adapter and don't keep spare parts at all. Today I told them to go to hell and asked for full refund. I am so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you wouldn't believe. 1050€ crap and I am unable to use it for more than 3 months because they don't have 5€ replacement part on stock...
Did you ever get the part?

Bimmer, were you able to get someone high enough to get you an extra trident cable? I too have this problem and I would really like to find a solution. Also, how did you handle the whole issue with the power adapter with the additional trident cable?
