Missing ICONs after game directory move

I have an issue with missing icons. I recently consolidate my steam directory, which had been across 2 drives onto a single larger drive. I had no issues moving the directories, but all the game shortcuts (in START menu and desktop) now show up as a blank white page shortcut. The shortcuts still open the games, but there is no image like I had before the move.

Now, I can simply open the properties and search the game directory for the icon in the .exe file, but the problem is some games have the same icon attached to their exe file. It is a white box with black edges on a black field. Several games now have this weird default icon when I know they had an image before the move.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling these games, but they come back with the same blank icon. is there another way to remove the affected games and get the original icons back?
