What is a decent GPU for the Valve index?

I am currently using a Radeon RX 580 and was told that I should upgrade my graphics card. Does anyone know any decent graphics cards out there that are both cheap and give me a good experience with the Valve Index headset? Thank you either way!

What is your budget? A GTX 1660 TI can be had for around $260 - $280 USD, and is probably the cheapest upgrade that would be worth bothering with. If you are willing to spend another 30 dollars-ish, you could step up to the RTX 2060. If you prefer to stick with team red, you could go for an RX 5600 XT for around the same price as the 1660 Ti.

That's a perfect price range I'm looking for. I can afford all of those no problem with some work, but 1, which one is the best out of all of them and 2, what do you mean by team red? This is my first PC and I'm new to this stuff, thank you!

It's just an informal name for AMD, versus team green for Nvidia, and team blue for Intel (when it comes to CPUs.) The RTX 2060 and the RX 5600 XT should offer pretty similar performance, but I would expect the 2060 to eke out a small win. The exact performance may vary on a title by title basis.

Well alright! Thank you for the advice. I did a little digging and found that even for non VR titles this would make a perfect GPU for my PC, thank you so much!
