Cant receive Gift from a friend
A buddy of mine recently gifted me a game and whenever i go to redeem it through the email it says There was a problem redeeming the gift. Please try again later, or contact Steam Support for assistance. cant find a way to start a ticket for it through the damn support section as it compartmentalizes everything so i dont what options to choose. please help

Did you restart Steam, then check if it in your library? Visit the game store page, and see if you have the green banner that say you own it, if you do click play, and should give you the option to install, and should pop up on your library, if it doesn't show on store page saying you own it, then check your license history.

If you took over 30 days to accept the gift, then it auto refunded back your friend on the 30th day, and your friend gets his/her money back.

If you deny the gift, it auto refunds back to your friend.

game was just gifted to me today. when i do it through a browser it still gives the same error

sorry, i checked the license history and doesn't show in there. Game doesn't have a green banner when i go to the store page saying i own it. I haven't denied the gift either

Possibly that your friend requested a refund on it, or did something to get it revoke from being able to accept it in the 1st place, just my guess on this. Your friend will need to check his purchase history.

He hasnt requested a refund on it and it does show in his purchase history, i dont know of any reason he would have had it revoked. I mean i have the email and everything it just go too that page that says its an error or something and to try later
