TIP: how to view app size
took me a million years to figure out how to find the total size of a game i had. i have a 500GB ssd, so i have to pick and choose which games to uninstall / install.

but Windows 10 doesnt always show the game size in either 'Programs and Features' or 'Apps & Features'. In this case, to find out how large the game RUST was, neither Programs nor Apps displayed the game size or for any other game for that matter.

and for some reason everyone on the net seems to think there is absolutely no way to find out, short of downloading third party software (which really i shouldnt have to F'ing do for such a trivial thing as this...). and for anyone who doesnt already know, the stated size in steam store is the minimum required to install the game, so it doesnt include the updates.

TL:DR I accidentally discovered how you can check to see how much in total space a steam game / app takes... right click on the app / game, click PROPERTIES, and then LOCAL FILES. it should say just below the tab how much space it takes up in MB. Rust takes just under [EDIT: 14GB]. good enough chunk to make space for borderlands 3 :D

There is a library filter for your collections to sort by "Size on Disk" that shows you the size and which disk it is on.

On the right. Your collections "shelves." Each shelf has an option to sort them.

Not the left side. Those are "categories."

oh nice find! while i was looking for SHELVES (maybe i deleted them a long time ago :D), i found that u can also click on any of the CATEGORIES on the left and click the drop down menu on the right and click SIZE ON DISK. seems steam is smarter than windows when it comes to this tiny trivial thing.
