Oh ok. Windows 10 must took out scanning for and attempt to recover bad sectors option.
But it looks good no problems with the file system.
I prefer Powershell over the window UI.
also just to be sure but you guys tried everything on https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2274-IFLV-5334 right? including Repair Library Folder
Steamapps holds your games and userdata holds your save games config files and your screenshots.
They can be found here.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
Try downloading again.
This ensures you get the .acf files you need as well.
Well you do know when you copy the steamapps folder to another location it also has the .acf files in there also. So yes my way is quicker and a lot easier for people to understand.
The .acf files are located in the steamapps folder just in case you didn't know.
It has direct x files and the c++ runtime libraries files that games use to run. It won't hurt reinstalling them. It might or might not fix your problem but it's worth a shot.
It downloads stuff everytime I try to install something
