For your friend activity community that will be active.
To exit Steam fully use either the rightclick Steam boot loader and exit or use Steam top left corner exit. Then shutdown PC for the night. The settings should be saved then.
I have also disabled community Content Steam Settings Library..
and only see the option to View it if I want.
But since I have tons of friends activity and my activity over the top of it back dated to August 2019.. Its too far down to scroll to.
Now I just view Community Content from under a game's wallpaper.
now i logged back in today after shutting down my pc entirely and it's still loading up community content without prompting me to "view" it. It's weird since i've never had any issues with steam in the past
If you want to go extra mile, you want to look into the CSS file for Steam UI, which you be able to find option in there to disable it, there is away to disable what's new, so make sense friends feed may be under the same CSS file as well.
Look for this.
Change to that.
Time stamp will remain, but content will be removed.
It keeps switching back to position: relative; when i restart steam. also changing libraryroot to "Read-only" simply redownloads the file with default settings. Does it work/stay for you? Or do u know a way to prevent it from changing?
1. Go here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\resource\ now look for folder called styles, make a copy of that folder, and put it on your desktop.
2. Now head to here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\skins make a new folder, call it whatever you want, go into that folder, and make new folder and call it resource now go into that folder, and make new text file, open it, and copy, and paste what I put.
Now save file, and rename file to webkit.css it will ask if you want to change it format, click yes.
3. Drag and drop of that copy of style you made before, into that resource folder, and should look like this. https://imgur.com/saA48cl
4. Head into Steam settings select your skin, and restart, and enjoy.
Thanks again, i appreciate it!
