Can't log to steam or another application with mobile hotspot

Hello, I have a ♥♥♥♥♥ internet at home, so i tried to use my mobile hotspot to download a game faster. but when i try to connect to steam when i'm on my mobile hotspot it said im offline, and that the same with League of Legend, the game say i'm offline so i can't login. But i can watch vidéos on youtube, go on facebook/twitter/etc... The only thing i can't do is connect to a service or download a game on steam/battle.net/origin/uplay

Same problem with me. Hotspot from iphone13 5g to PC has ipv6 connection. I cant connect to steam and discord with ipv6 but youtube, facebook, etc. is fine.

When I use LAN (ethernet), our ISP (PLDT) has ipv4 connection and everything is fine.

Hello i found the solution you need to do in your mobile apn setting
jionet
APN protocol select ipv4
Apn Roaming protocol select ipv4
Bearer LTE
Apn type select net
This will unblock the ports
and uncheck ipv6 in network setting in your wifi setting

I use mobile hot spots lent to me by a local gov org, for personal use. Most of the time I am able use them regardless of what I do, however yet again I can use SM and just browse the web just fine, however, I am having trouble using Vortex and Steam with this hot spot. I know how to tweak settings on a phone, how do i do that with a mobile (stand alone) hot spot device?

Here is the fix for tethering to an Android device: Forcing the phone to use IPv4 fixes this. If you are using Android 13, the steps are as follows:

On Android device:
Settings/Mobile Networks/Access Point Names/

Select your "internet" option (or something similarly named) and take screenshots of all settings (power button + volume down on some phones). Your probably cannot edit those pre-entered settings from your phone network, so you will need to make a new access point using the screenshotted details. You will need to look up the password for your phone network provider online, as this will be blocked out by ***** on the phone. On the phone go back to the previous screen under access point names, and click on "Add" in the top right of the screen and re-enter all of the settings that you took screenshots of (plus the password that you looked up online) Once added, make sure to select the "InternetIPv4" APN setting that you just configured. Your phone should temporarily lose internet connection and rapidly reconnect. Check that you can browse the internet from your phone. Then tether your device to your phone and check that you can browse the internet from your tethered device. Now open Steam and login as normal from your tethered device (hopefully).

I used to be able to use hot spots with no issue, and now I get BS messages saying I ain't connected to the internet.
I tried setting it to IPV6 and still no go.

I have find the solution randomly, First you have to stay in connection with IPv6 by switching IPv6 in your APN setting and then after few seconds staying in connection switch to default setting as IPv4/IPv6 or what is previously been in your setting.It will fix your prblm.

Sometimes all you need to do is forget the hotspot, and rejoin.

Settings > Personal Hotspot > Maximise Compatibility OFF

I tried all the ipv4/ipv6 stuff and couldn't get it working that way. After I have up I out stem in offline mode and then back into online mode and it started working. So I guess try that too of anyone is still having this issue

I honestly think this is iOS issue. Their hotspot is complete garbage.

For those facing this issue, thats how I solved:
1- in your cellphone, go to configuration, network, then look for the 4g configuration you are hotspoting. There, you must look for something about APN configuration. In this, ENABLE IPv4/IPv6.
2- in your computer, connect to hotspot, then go for properties of the connection. In network profile, check "PRIVATE conection". Then look for firewall security config, and DISABLE firewall for domain network and private network (be aware this may put you in danger). Thats how I could again acess steam and my beloved destiny 2.
