Owning a game
If I own my games from this account, do I have to buy them again if I use an alternate account?

You can family share it, if that game allows it.

They are account based, so yes, if you have a 2nd or other Steam accounts, those will be bare until you buy games on them.

You may be able to use the Family Share system for some games, however, if you just want to use a game on it instead. However not all games can be shared, particularly multiplayer games, and none that you're banned on can be shared if you've got bans.

Also 3rd party DRM based games (i.e. Far Cry 5) cannot be shared.

Pretty sure multiplayer games, as stated, are not shareable in any way.

This is not true. I play COD MW3 from one of my other accounts all the time.

That means.. all Valve games are not shareable

Then it'll just depend on each game. I don't have more than one Steam account and have no way to test which are, and how to family share. Follow the instructions on the family share support page.

That's good, though what games I wanna share to another account is Valve games (L4D2, Half-Life)

.... "Half Life, half life 2, portal 1" ... "all"?

They make many mp games. Most of them, however, are dirt cheap or even free, so... get them on both accounts?

Specifically though: you can't play *both of your accounts* on the same game, if it's online. One account must be offline, if you want to play that same game twice at one time, and obviously, an online game requires them to be... y'know. online. Can't play 'against yourself' in other words.

Among of all the games I own, Garry's Mod is the most expensive I bought so far
