Can I uninstall "Steamworks Common Redistributables"? Does this cause problems?

Some months ago (way before the new Library update) a "Steamworks Common Redistributables" (SCR) game appeared, already installed, in my Library. It seems it's a common place that various games download stuff I don't understand to. I can't remember too well, but I think whenever I uninstalled it it would just re-appear installed later, so I just hid it.

But with the new Library I un-hid SCR when investigating the new client layout, and it seems it's now classified as a "Tool" rather than a game. However, it sometimes sort of gets counted as a game when certain Library views list the number of games you have installed... Not a fan of this.

Anyway, with the new Library, can I uninstall this SCR? Or does that cause problems? Will I ultimately just have to hide it again?

The redistributables act up sometimes like many other apps you can uninstall and reinstall perfectly fine, there is also a way to have them put back into queue from steam for reinstallation because why would it not have basic necessities such as uninstall and reinstall it has nothing to do with your keyboard thats retarded and redistributes do affect games, cause crashes and so forth its the backbone of the game if it acts up it will kill the game.
