Steam purchase failed.
I was unable to complete my recent purchase. Steam gives me this error "An unexpected error has occurred. Your purchase has not been completed. Please contact Steam Support."

I buy games in bulk and only during Steam sales. I had been using my cousin's card cause i don't have one. He live in a different country than me. Its more convenient than buying steam wallet in my country. I did the same thing with my previous purchases and there was no issue. My last successful purchase was this summer sale.

I tried buying games this autumn sale the same way I did and it failed. Tried a few more times still failed. So I tried using my sister's card. She live in different country as well and it still failed. My cousin gave me another card to try and failed. I tried finding answers but no luck.

Right now I don't know what else to do. I have sent a ticket to steam support. I got 30 hrs left to repurchase my current bulk with discounts. Help is much appreciated.

Did you try clearing your cache on your client or broswer?
Did you try using browser or client instead?

I used the client for all purchases. What do you mean by clearing cache on client? Sorry if I'm slow. Posted this just before I sleep.

On the client to the top left click on "Steam" a drop down menu will show, click on "Settings" a new window will show up, to the left side click on web browser, and now delete the cache. May need to restart client as well. Then test again, and see what happens.

I deleted the cache and restart my client. Try to purchase again still no luck. Same error.
The notes from the steam support is the same for all recent errors.

"This purchase failed, Steam was not able to accept payment from your payment provider.

If you see a charge for this purchase on your statement, it will be removed when your payment provider resolves their transactions. Steam has not accepted funds for this purchase."

Does it offer you bank transfer options such as paypal, paysafe, or etc? If so give those a try.

No other options beside visa or mastercard. I tried buying steam wallet it failed as well. My cousin or sister received no notifications at all from the bank on this.

Best option I can suggest is going to your local retail store that sells Steam physical wallet cards. Other than that you have to wait for support to reply if you made a ticket.

Yeah might hard to find but I'll try to find if there's nothing else I can do. Worst case scenario I'll wait till summer sale to buy again. Thanks for trying to help. Much appreciated.

Winter sale coming up in few weeks.

As of late September, after Bamco released Code Vein's Season Pass with a huge price mistake in Russia, Steam no longer accepts credit/debit cards that were issued outside of your store region. You need either a local payment method or, as Dr.Shadowds suggested, a topped-up Steam Wallet. If physical Steam Wallet gift cards aren't sold in your region, then you can have a friend send you a digital one through Steam directly in exchange for PayPal Bucks or what have you (Steam Wallet codes/gifts are region-free*).

* The Steam Wallet FAQ warns that "some [physical] cards issued in Asia may only be redeemable in this region." To me, this suggests Valve accidentally generated and distributed a batch of region-locked codes, and as this caveat is years old, it's probably no longer relevant.

I get this issue a lot too. Literally have to attempt to but the game six, seven, eight times before it goes through. Trying two different card, one of them is saved.

No idea why it fails so often. The only solution, I've found, is just to keep trying. Takes me about half an hour to buy a game.

I have enough money in my steam wallet, but When I click on purchase, all I get is a blank page. I have tried everything I can think of. Never had a problem before. I purchased a game 4 days ago- no problem.
