Base game vs Base game plus DLC activation

I have a game (Monster Hunter: World) in my steam library and i have received the same game (base game + DLC version), as a gift (AMD Rewards for a gpu purchase). The way AMD rewards works is, after confirming the purchase of a selected GPU, the buyer must link a steam account to the account created in the process of confirming the purchase on https://www.amdrewards.com. Now, if i understand correctly, i can either create a new steam account and link that to the AMD site in order to receive the game or link my current steam account and loose the game key because i already have it in my library, even if it's just the base game not with the DLC attached. I thought i had a third option and that of deleting the base game from my library prior of linking my steam account to AMD site but i found out the following warning on steam:
"Note: Removed products will not be automatically uninstalled nor will achievements and playtime be removed from your profile. You should uninstall before removing, or you will need to manually remove local content later. In addition, *****should you repurchase this game in the future, you will not receive a different CD key*****."
So basically if i try and remove the base game from my library and try to activate the AMD key (base + dlc) it will not work?

1) create new steam account and link to amd account for game key redeeming
2) link current steam account and link to amd account for game key redeeming and possibly lose the game key
3) delete base game from current account and after that and link current steam account to amd account for game key redeeming

2. You'll get the DLC but you won't get an extra copy of the base game.

Option 3 is pretty much the same but more complicated.

AMD Rewards for a gpu purchase?



I was screwed over by this in the past, at least 3 times already...
In the future I have decided to refuse all Games given from AMD Rewards
for any kind of purchases...

I suggest people do the same...

These Rewards only benefit AMD to allow them to jack up the cost of a GPU,
just to get it's Users to get bonus items with the GPU's, which they usually
have way too much trouble Redeeming that they end up not ever Redeeming at all,
due to them not making a deadline given by AMD...

You can work your way through all kinds of Solutions to get your Games
from AMD & AMD Rewards all ya want, heck you might even get your Games...

But is all that hastle, & those problems worth the Items every time you get a New GPU?

I have not decided to puchase an AMD gpu for the games, i just upgraded my pc config and found out that there is a bonus. Thank you for your comment.

AMD does not provide game keys but they ask to link steam account to they site and whatever they offer is added automatically to steam library. I am afraid that when steam gets the request to add a game from AMD to my library it will fail to add because i have the base game. Thank you for your comment.

So i got in touch with steam support and they suggested i could opt for removing base game from my library (another way of game removal from library) and them link my steam account to amd website for redeeming the base game + dlc keys. And it worked!
