Steam blocked friends or is it just me?

today I when i went to see my friends list i came across my blocked list. but somehow i dont remember blocking a lot of friends except some who were trying to scam me. Im not sure why theyre blocked but i remember sending them group invitations and maybe i accidentally blocked them. Im certain i didnt block them. Maybe someone is controlling my blocked list or something o dont know...

When i unblock them i need to add them again as friend. I also dont remember unfriending anyone recently...

Also i was still able to join a friend's party in csgo but i didnt unfriend them or anything. I just found out that theyre in my blocked list.

So i re added one of my friends and he told me he didnt unfriend me and he also had friends bug he lost 4 friends. Im not sure whats happening maybe Steam is bugging

If someone else is able to send messages with your account then they are able to add/remove/block/unblock friends too. Did you secure your account when you previously noticed that messages were being sent from your Steam account?

Hey friend, I just noticed what happened. So one of my friends sent me a chat message about a vote thing in a website and i click it( which i wasnt supposed to do but i was stupid and made another mistake) which was just an hour ago. So my friends in the blocked list are the ones which my account sent the message forward. So I went to add that friend again and he said it also wasnt him. He contacted steam support and he told me to change my password. The message is spreading from account to account.

Yep this bs just happened to me a few days ago It seems the moment you click on that stupid voting link it takes over your account and sends messages to friends with that corrupted link then blocks the friends it sends messages to.... Welp I learned my lesson I'll never click on those stupid voting links again!

Is there anyway to add those friends again? I also clicked the link and was having the same issues. It won't let me add those friends again. I would also like to know, does it put my account in any danger?

Yes because if you tried to login after following a link they hijacked your account. Do these to secure it
Scan for Malware/virus https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/
Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Change your Account password on a secure device, mobile phone for example.
Generate new back up codes https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Then stop logging in on random links

Your friendlist is gone, you'll need to find them to add them again
