WIndows force close program due to low ram?
yea i have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ pc and its a laptop with a 4 RAM and a Intel Core i5-5200U for my system. ᵃⁿᵈ ᶦ ˢᵗᶦˡˡ ᵘˢᶦⁿᵍ ʷᶦⁿᵈᵒʷˢ ⁷ ᵇᵗʷ. but still, i dont play games that used up a lot of ram. like Stardew valley for example, ive been complaining on discussion that the game kept crashing over and over again while people keep saying that this sort of problem never happened before. later i realise that it was my computer that was the problem. it kept auto closing the program to "Free up Memory" it said. like hell i always close up all the unecessary program using the task manager before opening my steam. and whenever i play a game, my PC just closed the program mid game without a warning. there is an alert btw but even thought i click cancel or not clicking anything, it still forcefully close the program. i started to notice this more when i play other game lately. the memory doesnt even reach 60% yet and the program force close itself without my consent.

If you can run a checkdisk and ram check, you might be looking at failing hardware.

Is this a desktop or laptop? When was the last time you cleaned it and made sure that the fans are working if it's a desktop - overheats will also cause weird random crashes with equally weird error messages that may or may not be completely accurate.

In the mean time, go to your Steam SETTINGS > LIBRARY > make sure that the low bandwidth / no community content boxes are checked so that you'll be using a sleeker version of the steam client. Restart Steam. If you've already done that, something else is probably wrong, unfortunately.
Free up memory should not close the main programm running. What even does this free up?

Normally, if ram is full, lag is starting.

you have a U processor, that's why, i doubt you actual have the game requirements.

ps.
i dont have to tell you why, but if you dont know, fine laptop pretent to have 4 cpu, fact is you only have 2 as in dual core, its called virtual cpu, sure thing it run faster as 4 , problem is you do it on 2 only and that will not solve game requirement.

and if you are unlucky as my neighbour laptop, wrong label at Laptop says its a faster then it is, atleast at the papir he has only pay for its configuration, so no faul play.

and you are lucky i see the post, you need to be a expert or know this from previous encount
in why that laptop has issue. ( he dont game , so he actual dont have issue, other then i have to help him on a slow toaster, and that why i found out. )
