For everything else i recommend using Game Save Manager.

Its a free program that can find nearly all the save games on your computer and allows you to put them into a archive file.
Put that file on a USB stick or external HDD and after resetting your pc you can use the same program to restore the archive and it will put all the save games to their correct location.
90% of games have their save files in your "My Documents" folder on the Windows installation partition, so you could make a backup of that too but Game Save manager should catch all those save files anyway.
