Need Help Please!
Hello Everyone! I am in need of some major help. So my friend is using my account to play Skyrim on her computer since she never used Steam before, and I was able to load all the files she made along with mine since we use the same Steam account. Today, after I helped her put codes in when she loaded the game, that save file wouldn't appear in the 'Loads' section on the Main Menu. When I got home today, I went to add the codes to a new game she made, but I found out that her files weren't in 'Loads' on my computer. We use the same account to play but we can only load the files that were made on our computers

Both computers have Steam Cloud enabled

The account of both computers are online

I sync the Steam account on SteamGifts

I uninstalled Skyrim and reinstalled it, along with re-adding the three main DLCs

I even emailed her the saved file to put into Skyrim’s ‘Saves’ folder and that didn’t work

Sharing Steam accounts is against the SSA and can get your account terminated. 'She' needs to create her own account.

I made her an account but she doesn’t know anything about Steam. That and she can’t afford to buy a $5 game or put $5 on her account

She doesn't need an unlimited account to do anything.

Tell her to create an account, set up her profile, send you her profile URL, you invite her to be Steam friends and then set up Family Sharing. Then, she'll have her own Skyrim install and saves as long as you aren't playing your games.

I did make her an account. But she either needs to spend $5 on Steam or add it to her account for her to even send a friend request and she can’t afford that.

I believe when Valve made the change to spending $5 to remove account limitations, they also made it so limited users cannot share games. See:

I can share games just fine to my alts.

YOU invite her, not the other way around.

Great...so say I put the money on her account and she is able to have her own Skyrim version. Since I help her put the command codes, if I sign onto her account and do what I have been doing before all this mess happened, Will the same thing happen?

I’m talking about her save files.

So let’s say she shares my games from her account and she makes a new character on Skyrim. After saving, she asks me if I can put the command codes in. If I log onto her account and open Skyrim while on her account, will I have access to her files only? Or just access to my files??

Her account will have her own saves.

Alright. When I get home tonight, I’ll try it out. If it doesn’t work out, I’m going to come back on here.

Thank you for those who have replied back to me.
Keep backups of savegames, in case something goes wrong

I have two questions. She is now able to use the file I was working on that she couldn’t find. Now for my two questions.

One: is there a way to move her save files into Skyrim while signed into her own account??

Two: will she be able to keep all the mods that are installed when she was on my account??

Those are really questions for the games own forum...

Sorry! 😣

That is not a Question for a Game Forum, they are in the Right Place...

Because Skyrim does not handle STEAM File Saving issues,
STEAM does...

Otherwise, they'd have to place this topic in every Forum Thread
for every Game they own, it would not make sense, it would make more
sense to have it here, where STEAM is the Main Hub for all the Games...

Back up the Saved Game on Storage, to another location,
you can test it, by making a Copy, works, great, doesn't work, you still
have the backups. Keep in mind you wanna backup both yours & hers,
not just one...

Also, STEAM Cloud Saves? Is tied to the Account, I don't think you have
anyway to Manage that, because it's on a Server you can't get access to...

Note I left the thread open

My intention was to point out users in the game forum would have more experience and would probably get a answer much quicker
