Connection dropping for a split second Ethernet cable or port?, Need help
Hi ive been trying to fix this problem for about 2 weeks ive narrowed it down to either the ethernet cable or the ethernet port, what happens is the connection keeps dropping for a split second and then reconnecting only after say 45 minutes does this happen, i have tried wifi and this does not happen, im just wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem before and was it the ethernet port or the cable?, thanks for you're help

thats why , most experience user has spare cable to test with , most desktop pc have 2 rj45 port.

ps.
there are many things you can do, but that depend on many things, some can see bad connection or cable ( cable use a technology that dont like bend or pulled or step on, you actual need to be gentle with it )

again to many missing info laptop typical only have 1 and desktop can add extra card.

dont forget worst possibilities both port and cable sametime, i doubt it but new user dont know the tap thing and could have pulled it out, mistakes like that is seen before.

Beyond checking network settings, you'll have to eventually test the physical components, otherwise you will simply be stuck in the same state.
