I don't know off hand if there's a way to have it select the correct monitor, what you can do is change the game's graphics settings to "windowed", drag the window to the correct one then set to full screen, assuming you are wanting it fullscreen to begin with. It is however only a temporary fix and would require you to do it again the next launch i believe.

First, try Windows key+Shift+Arrow keys(Left or right)

Not all games support multi-monitors or switching off the main monitor. If this is the case, run Steam in Big Picture mode and configure it to the monitor you want. That will set that monitor as the default monitor the next time you open big picture and all games will open on that monitor regardless.

you sure this is not a graphic primary screen selection, if Nvidia card see nvidia controll panel
the nr 1 and 2 matter where it goes.

Have you tried just turning the monitor off before you load the game. I mean the switch on the monitor not a the plug. I have 3 display connected to my GPU but as I don't use them all the time I turn some off and when I do they don't show in windows or any other applications.

Games will open on the 'primary' monitor as specified by windows. This is pretty much the default

if a game opens on a different window, thats only possilbe if the game has an option to do so. Generally speakin gmost games dont even have this option anyway so games willl always open on the primary window

Every game I have on steams begins loading on the correct monitor. Then, when the game opens it switches to my secondary monitor. My nvidia and windows setting are both correct. I did just buy a new Samsung G7. I did not have this issue before installing that monitor.
