Accessing Micro SD Card on Steam Ran by Linux on Chromebook.
Recently I received a 256GB, Gigastone Prime Plus micro sd card for my chromebook. I had downloaded Steam from Linux and as Chromebooks have little storage, I would like to instead download games to my micro sd card. However, I cannot seem to access my sd card from the Steam Download section of the settings in the top left hand corner. Can someone help me figure out how to download games onto the sd card so I can play them from my chromebook, instead of getting more internal storage? Or am I doing this all wrong? I really would appreciate the help.

No idea on Chrome OS, but this should help - https://cbookreviewguide.com/chromebook-blog/how-to-format-sd-card-on-chromebook/

Edit: Might not be possible on Chrome OS - If you format a USB drive or SD card from within Chrome OS, it will automatically format the drive as exFAT without even asking which file system you want to use.

Double edit: exFAT should work with Steam

So I was able to format my card, yet it is still not appearing in the library options. All I see are options for folders that are mostly 3 letters long, and just other folders instead of anything related to the card.

What are the names of the folders?

I just had a browse through the Chrome OS reddit, and it seems that running Steam games from a SD Card on Chrome OS is near impossible. and if you can get it working performance is pretty bad.

I figured it out. go to mnt and double click on it. then it will say chromeos, double click on that. then double click on external and the SD card will show up. I just did it and it worked. edit. it says removable.
@Mart
#1 format the micro sd card
#2 go to storage in the steam settings
#3 click add drive
#4 go to mnt double click then click chrome os
#5 right click on white then turn on hidden files
#6 double click on removable
#7 finally click on your micro SD card and click select
