Steam doesn't provide information as they wouldn't know, nor will they do it without your permission, only way is you providing it yourself to Microsoft, this can be done by playing a Microsoft game, and logging into your Microsoft/Xbox account.
after doing a bit more digging i discovered what i needed to do. The Xbox App has been redesigned. if anyone else has similar issues do the following (at your own risk etc)
press windows + G
press account at the top
Sign out
It's also reported the new Games bar is a massive resource drag, you may wish to do the following;
remove the Xbox App

As said above, you may not wish to do the above, but it's certainly an option.
