I'm in search too so please lmk if you find something
Also I assume you don't have sound card(not the mb one)?

In general, "muddy" is probably an indication that you have way too much bass. Since you're talking about EQ settings, you might even have boosted the bass output, so the first step is to lower it back to normal. If it's already normal, and there are no other devices that could be at fault, try lowering it further.

I know this is a late reply but this is my config for EQ APO, It was originally generated by an algorithm to achieve an overall neutral sound but I made slight tweaks to some of the frequencies to make it "sound better" from my perspective. The "muddy" sound is no longer an issue, but I should probably say that this is only beneficial for music or movies etc. For gaming the original settings are the best as they boosted frequencies for footsteps and gunfire etc. But anyway here it is:

By "For gaming the original settings are the best" i meant the default headset without any eq applied to it, which in my opinion is good for games as it already boosts the specific frequencies for footsteps and what not. In my experience, the config i posted above makes footsteps slightly harder to hear but as a tradeoff provides a much cleaner sound profile. The eq profile is for people who don't like that "muddy" HyperX Alpha default sound and want a more neutral sound profile. But if you want a smaller config that kinda does a similar job, i do have this one, which is my favourite one that i like to use personally. Feel free to make any changes to it to suit your liking:

GraphicEQ: 25 -3; 40 -3; 63 -3; 100 -4; 160 -6; 250 -7; 406 -6.5; 506 -4; 630 -2; 743 -1.5; 875 -2; 1032 -3; 1433 -4; 1784 -4.5; 2500 -4; 2921 -4; 3086 -4; 3637 -1; 4058 0; 4287 -0.5; 5337 -0.5; 5637 -1; 6290 -4; 6644 -5.4; 7831 -7; 8272 -8; 8738 -8.5; 9749 -5; 10878 -3; 12137 -3.5; 12821 -4; 13500 -5; 14340 -5; 15110 -6; 16000 -9

Ngl lie bro, but your config is not that good, the bass is broken literally, i think this one is wayyyy much better.

By the config I assume you mean the first long one, Its not mine btw it was generated by an algorithm on jaakkopasanen/AutoEq project on GitHub, I just made some slight tweaks to it due to some tinnitus issues I had and boosted the bass slightly. The second one I prefer more mostly due to the more spacious mids, not anything bass related. But I don't understand what you mean by the bass being "broken"? If you could clarify, maybe I can fix it.

Best settings imo. The other one sounds like trash. The preamp helps bring the sound closer to the original, as any EQ always makes audio devices noticeably quieter for me.

Preamp: 5 dB

Hmm... Someone else posted about this aswell previously, I tried both these profiles on two devices with different sound cards, and although the shorter one does sound better its not by much, one is def quieter but it can be resolved by a slight volume + preamp. May i ask what u guys are using the eq for? Gaming?

My settings are for gaming. Some + bass frequencies and some + on high frequencies jsut for footsteps / explosions / screaming voices (easy location in space).

For listening - EQ values are easy to tweak - I am not using any EQ curve because the driver response is quite good by default, and I prefer to use speakers controls not Equalizer APO or HeSuVi for subtle corrections, therefore I am currently using the EQ curve only for gaming.

Ah ok, I use the profiles for mostly sound mixing and music. I think a lot of people who are having issues might be using the Alpha S version, which comes with the 7.1 surround sound adapter, and that can sometimes cause issues with eq profiles. I only own the basic Cloud Alphas, which doesn't come with a surround sound adapter so I can't test if that is the conflicting issue here.

for PUBG you just need to activate the 'loudness equalization' on your sound enhancements settings...
