Describe the issue, it may not have anything to do with support though.

Anyway...

Or if it's something more Specific You have buttons for support

If the question isn't there, the only other way is over the forums and hope for the best

Best option is to ask in the games forum. Describe the issue and include your specs

If it's a third-party product (not owned by Valve), don't bother.

Steam Support can't give you support for third-party products, that's what the forums are for.

Steam Support doesn't deal with game related issues only account and billing ones

Best to state the issue of the game you're having.
Best to post in the game forum so if someone has same issue as you may likely have a solution to your problem.

Steam support can only help so much when it comes to games, as they're just going to search it up on the forum, or google search for the answer really, as that's not their area is for, what they're area mainly for is solving all account related, and service issues, not the games themselves, or telling you how to manage your system, or anything that you should be doing yourself really.

So depending on your issue, we may be able to help you with your issue.

My problem is that i dont know the Uplay account that my copy of Rainbow Six Siege (which i bought on steam) is linked to, so i cant play the game. Im contacting Ubisoft Support but i dont think they can help me much since i cant remember which username i used ingame.

Ummm, you sure you arent perma banned?
I've never had that problem with my account and I'd get directly connected to R6 and For Honor as well

Though if you know the email your account is using, you shouldn't have any problems activating it again

I played the game in 2017 and wasnt banned back then. Now when i download it and try to play it i cant. It says that the ownership of the product is not authorized.

The username itself isn't important, what is important is the mail you used to access uplay
Thought you might be able to contact support and ask them which mail was used with this account (Though I'm not sure if they can give you that information)

Library -> (game you wish) -> support

Im contacting them at the moment but instead of them telling me which account it is used with this copy of rainbow six on THIS STEAM ACCOUNT, they are asking me to tell them which account it is. I dont know, thats why i need steam support to tell me or tell ubisoft support team which account this copy of rainbow six is linked to.

Steam has no clue what accounts are linked. It used uplay api to communicate with Uplay that obfuscates personal information

All the authentication is done on the uplay end

As I said, it's a problem because I think they mention in their guidelines that they wont give out your personal information, even if it's you who's trying to get the personal information about yourself

Try being more persistant to yourself about it and search all of the emails that you have and to see if even one of it is linked to an uplay account

Correct only Uplay knows what uplay account is linked to what steam account.
