Return of gift
On 3rd nov I gifted PUBG to my friend but he wanted to return the game so I opened the return request on 11th nov and now its been 20hrs and the request is still pending meanwhile I am not able to play PUBG on my account even though the return request is for my friend not for my pubg game in which i have more than 750hrs

Okay that I understand, but when you have a pending request regardless of the situation, your friend shouldn't even be playing it. I'm saying this for the reason that your friend could eventually exceed the barrier without even knowing and then where is the refund you ask. Give it another day or two but try not to cancel the refund again this time.

Yeah ok . I did cancel once again today but this was the last time now going to wait for a few days . Sadly I cant play my fav game for the time being .

Well I'm hoping it does get resolved sooner rather than the last minute considering you are tempted to get back to playing your game. :)

Yesterday I contacted PUBG support and said that since its a problem with the refund so you have to contact steam support so I contacted steam support and now they reply that since the error is inside the game you have to contact PUBG support .

They're just throwing you through the loops which you should ignore. You purchased the license from Valve for your friend so the problem lies within Steam since that was your point of purchase.

Imagine what its like requesting a refund, wholly unrelated, from Steam, you contact Support then they reflect it on Paypal then Paypal refects it back to Steam then they realise its their fault for accidently charging you twice.

The main issue is that I am not able to play PUBG and I read somewhere that it could take weeks for the refund process to be complete and I wont be able to hold that long . Also I have a tournament coming on 20th and I have to practice for that .

I understand that i don't blame you but i blame your friend since he didn't want the game and is now holding you back due to the refund though i still do not understand why the refund when initiated from your friend's end is reflecting on your account which should not be the case at all.

I kept on messaging steam yesterday and they completed the refund process but the game is still showing the same error :(

The good outcome is you received the refund, but next where the funds have been sent to would result in a matter of hours or days depending, and hopefully you should have time before your competition/tournament to be ready.

Also cheked with my friend , the game has been removed from his library . Should I delete and download the game can that solve the problem?

Well that would be very much satisfactory on your behalf.

Give or take a few hours until it fully clears. If it does not, you may need to query Support again.

Deleting and downloading the game would waste your time, but check its Steam Support page so it can provide a status to you.

Problem solved . Under steam support>purchases, there was still a pending request of refund for pubg so I cancelled that request and the game is working fine now . Thanks for the help guys .
