right trigger always pressed
hello there!

I'm trying to use my ps3 controller as a joystick for playing through steam: everything works fine, games do recognize it ad let me use without any problems, apart from the fact that it looks like the right trigger (R2) is always pressed: holding it down will make the character behave like the button is released.
I checked the functionality of the joypad in windows and everything is fine: no button pressed unless I press them, and i'm using official SCE drivers that were made available for developers and "somehow" got on the internet.
I'm guessing it's either some driver incompatibility with steam or a configuration problem.
is there anyone who can help?

thanks in advance!

what? can't you just state what driver you're using instead of being vague? For PS3 (DS3) controllers, SCP (Unofficial driver) is the best solution. If you use PS4 (DS4), use DS4Windows or SCP.

I never heard of Sony releasing official SCE drivers for DS3 in windows.

Sorry for the vagueness, but since it took me like 5 minutes to find them i thought them to be common drivers, hence i thought there'd be no need for further explainainations. here's a screenshot of the driver https://imgur.com/a/rJPmfyZ
I definitely don't think they were Officialy Released for public use

any ideas?
thanks

thanks, will try that.

apart from the solution itself I'm wondering why it wouldn't work, since windows detect it as perfectly functional, but i guess the doubt will rremain

both my sixaxis triggers are doing this "backwards" behavior of making it act pressed when not pressed and not pressed when pressed. I'm using the drivers that install when installing ps now.
