Fedora 29 run.sh not installed with dnf rpm
After setting up access to rpmfusion and installing steam (via dnf commad), running steam generates the error/messages:

]$ steam
Running Steam on fedora 29 64-bit
STEAM_RUNTIME is enabled automatically
Pins up-to-date!
/home/abstract/.local/share/Steam/steam.sh: line 823: /home/abstract/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/run.sh: No such file or directory
Installing breakpad exception handler for appid(steam)/version(0)
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast

Same error after removing the install, setting up the negativo17.org repo, and re-installing.

Thoughts, anyone?

What you want to do with Fedora instead is simply open the software center and enable software from third parties. Then you can grab Steam directly from the Fedora repos.

Adding that repo to download Steam is the old way of doing it, it might not work correctly with Fedora 29. It did work just fine for me on Fedora 28, but then I discovered this was an unnecessary step.

Revert the rpmfusion repo thing, uninstall Steam and then reinstall it via the Fedora download center.

First, I'm using LXDE as the session manager so there isn't a "software center" (must be some other base item not displayed in LX or from another spin). There is "dnfdragora", but it still relies on having access to the right repository libs. So, I'm just doing this all via DNF commands (just faster than the graphical).

2nd, there isn't a repo file for steam available, so far as I know, until repository is accessible via installation of "fedora-workstation-repositories" (see Fedora wiki page https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Workstation/Third_Party_Software_Repositories ). Checking via DNF info steam, shows the steam app as located in "rpmfusion-nonfree" which shows up with the work station repos mentioned on the wiki. This appears to be the new direction as of Fedora 28.

Adding the negativo repo was just a last ditch effort after the other install resulted in the runtime errors in my OP.
