How To Queue Multiple Game Downloads
I have been having trouble accurately finding out how to queue multiple game downloads at one time. See I formatted my drives to clear up the massing clutter of files that were utterly confusing me. So naturally my library of downloaded games went along with that. Now, I know about the shift-click and ctrl-click methods to select multiple games to download. I've gotten the terms and conditions from multiple games as if they were going to be downloaded individually, but only ONE GAME shows up in the queue. It seems like steam absolutely refuses to put no more than one game in the queue while another is downloading. I don't feel like constantly looking at that download bar just to time the next download. I have A LOT of games to re install. And I don't care if the games don't dowload all at the same time, I just want them ready to be dowloaded when another game is finished. Like a line of people waiting for their turn on a roller coaster.

That seems to be a problem on your end for whatever reason.
Because that method works fine for me. Just downloaded like 60 games at once with that method a few days ago.
The only thing is, especially if you download to a normal HDD and not a SSD, that it can take like an hour or so for Steam to preallocating all the space for the games and till its done only one game will appear in your download list.
But you should have a window with some bar if that is the case.

I just hopped on after a while, and it seems that you are correct. The games need to preallocate the space needed for their download and THEN they show up on the queue list. That's a bit misleading but as long as it's working. Thanks for the tip.

How is it misleading? If it's pre-allocating, it's not read for the download yet, it's preparing.

It's misleading because I selected multiple games for download, I expect to see them in a queue. But I only saw one game in queue and another downloading. Leading me to believe that I can only download and queue one game at a time. That's how I saw it originally. But all is well now and I know what to expect.
