Too many login attempt failures. Ongoing Issue.
When I log into the Steam app on my desktop computer, it is fine.
But on my cellphone, I was logged out automatically for some reason. I forgot my username is all lowercase letters.
Whenever I am logged out of steam on anything but my desktop it says:
"There have been too many login failures from your network in a short time period. Please wait and try again later."
This also happens while on Edge explorer, or Chrome.

1. I have tried logging in my cellphone app on different wifi's like public restaurants and my friends wifi, and this DOES fix the issue.
2. A steam representative changed my password earlier today, and that DID NOT HELP THE ISSUE. *PLEASE* DO NOT DO THIS AGAIN, I am not asking you to change my password.
3. I have waited hours (7 hours this morning after my password was reset), and overnight as well. Waiting does not help this issue.

I am hoping I won't be logged out again automatically, but I am just wishing for something to be done, if possible. Any other post about this it seems to resolve after 1 hour.
It is just a simple annoyance to have this error message pop up and prevent me from logging in when I just want to access Steam on my phone, like I have for months before. I don't want to have to keep going out of my way to connect to a different wifi just to get this to work.

Try looking up dynamic IPs.
I am having this issue as well, it's been a whole day and I have even tried changing my IP, but I can not pay my subcription fee to the game I want to play without logging into steams web browser site.
I am having the same issue! I can login to the windows client no problem but I am unable to use the browser. I have changed my password, waited 30mins, 60mins, 2 hours, and 36 hours -- nothing. I have tried clearing caches I have tried restarting my computer, I have tried restarting my router (leaving it off for 15mins). It is like my account is blacklisted or something from using browsers.

I had the idea to try logging in via my phones browser and it works! However, only works when I use mobile data. If I use my wifi it fails. At least they are not lying to me about it being stuck on my network and is indeed not that my account is blacklisted.

Yeah this is a really weird issue guys. Weird a specific wifi is blocked. Maybe it's trying to "protect" but in the wrong way. Steam support just ended with saying they can't resolve it "quicker" and wanted me to post on the group.

I hope this bug is resolved soon. Such an annoyance to people who don't have data and can't keep leaving the house to fix the issue

It took nearly a week but my issue is now resolved. By a stroke of "luck" my internet service went out and was disconnected for over 12 hours. When the service was restored I decided to retry logging into steam via the browser and it worked. I think by being offline for so long I was issued a new IP address thus to steam I am now on a new network.

I hope you get your issues resolved soon @Elfayra it is indeed extremely frustrating and annoying.
I tried installing the mobile app and when I tried to enter the authenticator code that was sent to my email it said it was wrong (I'm 100%sure after triple checking those 5 characters that it was correct) then logged me out and said my login info was incorrect and then when retrying in case I mistyped it gave me the too many attempts stuff.

I've been locked out of mobile and browser for 84 hours and counting now. After resetting my password I was able to relog into the desktop client which is the only way someone can even request help from steam, receive support messages, and post to forums which makes me wonder how many people are also logged out and stuck without any way to contact or report. Seems to me like 84 hours is an excessive wait time to reset. Forced new IPs tried various public and private wifi's, restarted things tried multiple browsers nothing helps. Computer was completely off for almost 24 hours and phone was dead and then off for like 12 around the same time so being disconnected for extended times has not helped to allow me to log back in either.
