instead of retyping basically the same thing just gonna quote it.
Header is black/dark blue while the rest of the chat window is lightgray. Too much contrast. And in fact contrast I don't find fitting. Even if the active tab's color would be lightblue like the important bits would be better. Though probably it would be best if chat's header looked like friendlist header. Way less contrast.
The chat typebox cannot be resized. The rest can be resized in its settings so they missed this part? Or maybe I did? The gigantic smiley etc. icons where I type are annoying my eyes.
Also, there's a ton of stuff that doesn't make sense to me. Every time I open a chat with someone, it's a new window, why? When I resize a window, it doesn't "remember" it, so I have to resize it every single time. Why? When I open steam by clicking my pinned icon on the taskbar, instead it opens all the way to the right, leaving my with two steam icons on my taskbar, the pinned one, and the one with the open program. Why?
Add this to the shortcut of steam. -nochatui -nofriendsui
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steam.exe" -nochatui -nofriendsui
The shortcut should like something like this: https://i.imgur.com/SF4VWgT.png
Once you have done that, exit steam and launch it from the shortcut. You only need to launch it once from the shortcut and it will stay like that until you delete the shortcut or remove the paremeters.
People necroing threads that are no longer relevant is the issue here.
Thanks, this will have to do for now at least for me. Problem solved kinda.
