The age-gating feature does not always work at times once you approve it. It just gets annoying when it does pop up despite having confirmed it countless times before. The ability to disable it was added to reduce that problem.
The date is set if you don't delete cookies but the last stage check is not saved.
Preferences page displays a list of games/hubs you can add as exceptions which clearly indicate it can be bypassed. This was a new feature rolled out specifically to do that. There is an ability to do so, but somehow the page comes up in error saying my preferences block it when in fact they generally don't.
That is the sensitive content gate and not a real "age" "please enter your date of birth" gate.
And for the record, the blur/hide options in addition to that are not checked, which should not be blocking me to the age gate page with games in it's exceptions list.
