Steam wants me to disable Compatibility Mode, but I cant follow their instructions on how to

When I startup, Steam wants me to disable Compatibility Mode. To do that, I would need t acces the Compatibility Tab in properties for steam.exe. But of course there is no such thing when I click properties.

This is what they say:

Browse to your Steam installation (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\)
Right click on Steam.exe (or bin\steamwebhelper.exe), choose Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab
Uncheck any boxes that are checked, and click Apply
Then, click the "Show settings for all users" button
Again, make sure none of these boxes are checked, and click Ok
Click Ok to close any open dialog boxes.
Double click on Steam.exe to launch Steam.
Re-test the issue.

Problem is: THERE IS NO COMPATIBILITY TAB

You should select the Steam.exe, not the folder.

You are right clicking the wrong folder. You have to go into the Steam folder itself and find the Steam application .exe file then right click on it.

That is the Steam folder. Go into that folder and find the Steam.exe .

Evidently, you are not. The screenshot you provided clearly shows a folder, not a file.

That is the file and it shows that you are starting it with admin rights, which is not needed.
That is a compatibility option.

If you look at your first screenshot, you can see the file size is 119 GB, the Steam.exe file is nowhere near that size. It also lists how many files and folders are in the selected object, which an executable file like Steam will not have any of.

Well.. that is the only Steam.exe file in my steam folder.

Well, its the only steam.exe in the whole folder so I don't have much of a choice.
