PS3 Controller. No Longer Working with Steam?

Last Spring I was told to download Playstation Now to get drivers for the DS3/DS4 controllers. Then I was to use the Big Picture Controller Config Menu to get my PS3 controller to work on Steam Games.

Well it worked flawlessly. I was able to play through Ace Combat 7 with a PS3 controller. It was very nostalgic.

However, I'm not a big fan of using xbox controllers, since I grew up with PS Controllers all the way back to the first PS1.

For some strange reason since then though my PC or maybe something bigger is preventing my PS3 controller from working on Steam now. My friend has a similar problem with his PS4 controller last fall.

I updated Playstation Now thinking maybe I needed a driver update or something. But still no joy.

What is odd, is that steam registers the controller being there. Even button prompts will appear for RB and LB in Big Picture Mod. But when I press buttons, move the joysticks, nothing happens.

Hey man I am having the same problem. It used to work just fine.. Let me know if you've found a fix to this.

I found the solution and it works!
Simply RESET the controller. Press in the little round hole near the L2 Button on the PS3 controller.
HID will be reinstalled automatically in a second.
Now my computer and Steam recognise my controller! I can play back with two controllers! Yay~

Sorry, i try to do reset but it still does not work. My controller keeps on blinking then nothing happens when i start the game (Little Nightmares, if that does change anything...) Thanks for your tips.
