Unstable FPS in games
Hello,

I followed this scamy youtube video tutorial about how to improve my FPS in games.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SaYbFmB2rDw&t

I am worried that I changed some important files or variebles that made my FPS in games unplayble. On for example CSGO my FPS are quickly droping between 200 and 5 and then the game eventually crash. I tried to download newest drivers (I am using Windows 10 on notebook Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming, almost over 2 years now), but I did not help. Any ideas? I aslo tried set all the things I changed back to normal, but it did not helped either. I am thinking about maybe reinstalling the windows, but I do not know if it is too drastic. Send any ideas down in comments. Thank you guys!

I had a similar issue with an old laptop of mine, and I did things that I shouldn't have done, like modifying files, etc.

However to improve your FPS in games, you can do a few things, very simple in the task manager for instance. Just DO NOT touch certain files/folders, because you can and will mess up not only your gaming performance but your device

I remember what I did to fix this issue, was a full reset of my laptop, back to ZERO, as if it was brand new

I know you will lose some of your stuff, just transfer some of your "important" files onto an external storage

I don't know if that will help you but that's what I did. I don't use my old laptop anymore though, since I've bought myself a new gaming laptop (Asus TUF FX505 DT) in late November of last year so gaming for me has been 10x better

Also, the YouTube video that you linked your discussion to, that sort of method is very common to do among people/gamers with a low end device
