How do I get single screen games to tolerate multi-monitor displays?

Forgive my ignorance, but I haven't been able to really find an answer. To be clear, I'm not trying to get any games to display across both monitors. All I'm trying to do is have games display on my primary monitor without disrupting what's on the second.

Some games can do this just fine, but others not so much. Some games will force the second monitor to the desktop, often with weird changes to the resolution. And some will do that, AND turn the primary monitor to static when I exit the game, and deny the second monitor control of the start bar. I can't even get to the task manager. I have to force reboot my computer.

Is there some setting somewhere, either in these games or on my graphics card, that I can toggle to fix this problem? This is incredibly annoying. Please and thank you.

Run the game at your monitor's native resolution. That helps against the second monitor getting garbled.

clone or prime and second Monitor. ( and side by side ) well if AMD something like that i dont know.

problem is each game you have choise with can be or need to be reconfigureded hard to tell depend on whats is 1 or 2 already.
then basic is done , who know if nvidia card you have try nvidia experience maybe that can find games and optimized all/most faster ( dont know if this will work ) but to go through 100 of game or let a app take over can be a helping hand. ( again i have no idea if it can switch monitor already config in a game , but worth a try i think.

ps.
dont forget some games dont have config , they use default OS system, so i think from that term most in-game setting is config correctly. ( and why will you 2 as prime if its 1, so you might already have it right. )

What do you mean by turning to static?

I mean like TV static. Like it doesn't know what to display, so it displays interference. I do run the games at its native resolution, it makes no difference.

and why are you even on internet, every page you visit has a cookie or you leave a trace, maybe you should disconnect from everything stop use mobil stop all eletronic. gl with that.
