Steam won't start my games?
So I got a new computer recently for the holidays and I downloaded steam on here so I wouldn't have to use my father's computer and all of his storage. Anyway, I'm able to at least get on my game store page but whenever I hit, "Play now" it always takes me to the, "Got Steam?" pop up. I try to click "Yes" but it never registers and just blinks as if I clicked on it but whenever I click on, "No" it always registers and takes me to the sign up page. I already have a account of course yet it won't register that I'm literally on the account right now? So as a last resort I as wondering if i needed to, "make a new account for it to work"? It said that the email was already being used and I verbally said, "Yeah, that's the point.". I don't know it was just Steam or my computer or my dumba**...?
Yes, i have it downloaded onto my computer. I have a Chromebook. Forgot the exact version but its one of the ones that fold... *<3:o(
If I forgot to answer any needed questions, ask me in the replies...

Steam does not support Chrome OS. Use Windows, or Linux.

There is no Steam client for ChromeOS and Steam games can not run in an ARM environment.

If the game was not made to run on ARM processor then it will not run.

Not all CPU's are the same, there's a difference between them on how they operate and communicate.

Also why would you get a Chromebook for gaming??? Get a normal PC with Intel, or AMD processor, that has a dedicated GPU.

Does your Chromebook have an x86 processor? If yes, install a normal Linux on it and Steam games will work, with major caveats though. First is software compatibility, not all games run natively on Linux, but Proton should help here.
The bigger problem is hardware, Chrome books are generally underpowered and games tend to need loads of power. But that, you can try out with your existing games.
As others have said, getting a desktop PC is preferable for gaming. You get more power for less money.

Well, the reason for that is that my family doent really have a place to put a pc and buying them can be pretty pricy. And I've wanted a foldable chromebook for a while so I could draw digitally becasue im a wannabe artist and I thought that hopefully Steam would work on it...guess not?

You have the choice between affordability, portability and power. You can totally have one and ignore the rest or kinda have two. If IT HAS to be portable, it will either cost (around 1 k€ if you want power) or you gotta limit yourself to non-demanding games. Not that this was an issue, there's heaps of fantastic non-demanding games.

What model is the chromebook? Also that’s why people build PCs, not buy them, prebuilts are overpriced. Building a PC will beat a laptop’s specs for cheaper as well.
