Steam saves on different computer accounts are different
I've been using a computer account to play games for a while and then I made a new one because the older one was getting messy and the saves on the new account are not the same as the saves on the old account. I have no idea how why this is happening.

One inspiring answer, When cloud remote saves are enabled Steam Cloud will restore current saves each time you play.
So if you play x amount of hours on account 1. And Account x amount of hours on account 2 Cloud has updated them.
Cloud would have restored whatever saves were currently stored from other accounts to your new account.

Edited just copy out your saves on the HDD to backup progress. Very Reliable.

What "saves" do you mean? Is it game spesific?

lol because you're using a different <insert operating system name> user account and obviously the save files config files whatever are not storaged in your new user account folder(s). no, not every game on steam use the steam cloud feature. solution: either clean the mess in your previous user account or copy/move the files into your new one.
