Can't sign into google/youtube account on steam overlay.

Google has introduced this new nonsense which prevents users from signing into google accounts via the overlay browser as it is "not verified" and is a "less secure app". There is an option in your google account to allow sign in through less secure apps but even with that enabled, sign in is still prevented via the steam browser. Anyone having this problem too/can help?

Uhhh, I click to link my channel, then click Access your youtube videos, after entering my email, then it just displays this message.
"This browser or app may not be secure.
Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can refresh your screen and try again to sign in."

Hope for Bitchute or Vimeo support because having support for Youtube and nothing else is no longer adequate as the Steam Client shows.

If you can't link YouTube account in steam app cz its say it's not secure just log in to your steam account with a browser and do it there

Nice one this actually works. I had to login to the nvidia site to bypass the login with google step.

I've already made too many threads about supporting other video hosting sites but if you guys are dissatisfied about being unable to log into Youtube through the Steam client, you're gonna have to ask for it on the suggestion board

I mean, you had a work around even before that by using a normal broswer, which was just to add youtube videos to profile, as that's all it for.

No that's a half assed fix. Zeppelins fix actually "sticks" so once its done you can use the overlay properly.

It's not actually as doing same thing via broswer to adding your youtube video on your Steam profile.

See example, all you see is what video you uploaded you want to share on your Steam profile, that all there is to it.

Yes i know it can be done from a browser, that's not the point, for me if i'm in DM in steam with someone talking about vids, its more convenient to be able to upload a utube vid within Steam! Not to mention that Steam has offered this as an option from overlay for ages and not fixed it properly. Anyway its a moot point as Zep's fix works.
