Can't sign into google/youtube account on steam overlay.

Google has introduced this new nonsense which prevents users from signing into google accounts via the overlay browser as it is "not verified" and is a "less secure app". There is an option in your google account to allow sign in through less secure apps but even with that enabled, sign in is still prevented via the steam browser. Anyone having this problem too/can help?

Going to jump in the dog pile, it's not working for me here in Ireland either. Can't link my youtube account and I can't log into google through the steam browser, it won't even allow me to put in an application specific password. I hope Valve can update Steam soon to sort this issue out, like they've had enough time to work it out!

I didn't have a problem with linking before. I just unlinked my old channel on my profile, and then on the same google account, I decided to create a new channel. Then, now I tried to link it on steam, which doesn't work anymore.

So has anyone tried actually signing up a brand new goggle account and make a channel and linking it on steam? If so, I guess that doesn't work too since I didn't see any comments like this.

You can't unlink accounts because the Google/Valve ♥♥♥♥♥♥ forcefully did that for us.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I have a Video from my Youtube from before up. Can't link relink my account I get the same "This app has not been verified yet by Google in order to use Google Sign In."

There are some aspects about Steam Valve doesn't seem to give a ♥♥♥♥ about. This is one of them.

This isn't just an issue with Steam's browser.
I just tried Chrome and Firefox browsers on PC.

Still get the: "Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app

This app has not been verified yet by Google in order to use Google Sign In."

Please fix this Steam/Valve.

Or you can go work for Valve and attempt to improve Steam Support (and Steam itself TBH) internally.

I have the same problem. It worked just fine back then but now i get the message that the login is disabled. Really weird and at the same time not worth wasting hours to troubleshoot.
