Game properties not working
I'm trying to open the game properties menu to change settings, but it opens a black constantly shaking window that I can't move. If I try to close it, it freezes my computer for a few seconds. It does this for every game's properties menu. I found an older thread that suggested I reinstall Steam, but I tried that and it didn't work. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You'll want to post this in the game hub, since you don't actually state WHAT game you're trying to do this in it's not a Steam issue but is likely caused by a machine without the right hardware or drivers installed.

Shut the Steam client down by clicking Steam > Exit and restart the computer. If you have a laptop closing the lid does not restart it. Click on the Start Button > Power > Restart.

Try re-installing the client. You don't have to uninstall the games to do that. Just the client.

If you're still having issues after that please include important to know info:
- Operating System type and version
- The title of the game or software or tool you're having the problem with.

Please note that these are community forums. There are plenty of people here willing to try and help but this is not official Vale / Steam help. People here are not employed by Valve. If you're trying to reach official support do that by clicking on Help at the very top of the client window or visit https://help.steampowered.com

They made some asinine changes to the properties window so it's now ugly and less intuitive than it used to be and because of these needless, ridiculous, and stupid changes you'll probably have to exit and re-start Steam, and I suggest you re-start in admin mode, to make it work properly again. If that doesn't work do a full re-start on your system. If that doesn't work re-install or repair your Steam install.

Try "steam://flushconfig" do have login/pw rdy.
sounds like browser issue, never seen this myself.

Either this is default browser related ( steam is a browser app )

check eash browser that is match the system with 64bit or 32bit
i have seen firefox was 32bit on a 64bit system but that is not related to this more a wrong version and no i have no clue how that happend.

you can check newest Browser is installed, in about in each Browser.
