HELP! Steam WebHelper

ive had this going on the pst few months now.
i notice when i launch steam 8-9 things are running with steam all named steam client webhelper
i thought this was find for awhile but i googled webhelper and it said this was a virus
so i have been trying to end the tasks and when i did i had gotten a random msg from a account i do not remember adding, please tell me what tf this is!!!

I have 8 running right now.

Just because you read it'Could' be a virus doesn't mean it is. Sure some creators name their viruses the same as other running application to hide but that doesn't mean you need to close and remove the legitimate applications.

Scan for viruses. Malwarebytes has a free scanner

but then what was up with the random msg asking to see my broudcast even know i wasnt playing anything?

Go to virustotal.com and check the executables, there should be only two steamwebhelper.exe in 1 Steam installation folder on your hard drive. If you have more installations, then this number will obviously increase accordingly.

I have currently 7 instances of it running in Task Manager, it's pretty normal.
