(Unknown error code) when accepting steam gift
I owned Terraria like 1-2 years ago and asked Steam to permanently remove the game from my library for space purposes, and it has since been gone from my library. But recently I got gifted a copy of it again after wanting to play it with my partner but I'm unable to accept it. I hit accept gift and it shows me (unknown error code), Terraria is also greyed out in my library and tells me to purchase the game. I'm unable to remove it from the list but I'm able to hide it, which does nothing. I'm not region restricted since the gift was purchased by someone also in the UK.

Am I missing something? This is really annoying, I've literally left the gift notification sitting in the top right of my screen because I just can't figure out what the problem is. Google comes up with nothing too. :(

Edit: Have sent Steam a ticket, but am still curious if anyone else is getting this.

When you asked Steam to permanently remove the game, it was "permanent" meaning your account still has a game key for it associated with the account. You didn't refund it. You simply asked Steam to make it go away.

You can ask whoever gifted it to you to have it refunded. Then ask Steam to reactivate the game for you.

Also, you don't have to have Steam remove a game permanently to save space. You just uninstall it from your computer.

Ah this makes a lot of sense! Thanks! I’ll see if this works
