Join a Group Chat Room

i cant complete this quest? ive joined group chats and chatted in them but its not completed?

help what do i do

Opened my own group chat and deleted it afterwards. Worked perfectly.

I think you will need to actually leave the chat before the quest completes.
Closing the chat windows is not the same as leaving it. You will have to click the chat name/icon and select "Leave chat".

Open a chat with a friend, invite another one. Viola, a group chat.

yeah you might suddenly get a group chat invite and just post an emoj.
All I did was open the broadcast in Steam community scroll down to where the yule log is and there is a live chat going on on the side I posted a Christmas cheers with an emoj and that ticked the box

Pfft, doesn't work, ticked all other boxes, tried making a group chat, changing it to all voice chat, then joined a group chat and tried all voice chat, 3 people should be enough to warrant it being called a 'group' if that is the problem (not enough people).
Don't punish me for not being a fake friend hoarder, I don't do social media type nonsense thank you, just tick my box Steam and we can go about our business.

I too was having trouble trying to get this to work with just the Steam client. The solution that I found was to log onto steam via browser. I found this accidentally while doing the "Watch the Yule Log Burn" task. The "view broadcast" link in the list opens up a Steam page in the browser. After I logged into my account through the browser, I was able to join the chat where I commented with a sticker. This also completed "Use Chat Stickers" task.

Do you own your Accounts, & are able to gain lvl's on it?
Have you actually Followed the Group before Joining the
Chat Rooms?

It worked for joining your own chat room, because you did not
need to follow it, since you were already the owner...

It could be a Glitch in the System, Good Luck...

This worked for me. I wasn't leaving the chats after. Box ticked once I left the chat.
