5.1 and 7.1 wont work because they are stereo speakers. To hear thing behind you on stereo you need simulated surround sound. You either need to set a games audio options to this if they support it, use windows 10 to simulate it. Win10 has its own version called windows Sonic. Just right click speakerbicon bottom right of your screen and the option will bevin that menu. The other option would be to get one of hyperx simulated control box from its website. Cant remembervthe details as the Alpha arent listed as official but Im sure out if the 2 thatvappearmascreplacement parts for their headsets the cloud Revolver, more expensive version, will work with Cloud Alphas. Contact Hyperx to confirm if you want to buy it.
Personally Windows Sonic should be fine.
