Steam on nintendo switch?
Is it possible to get steam on nintendo switch?

Switch is neither a pc nor an straight up Android device. (although it uses a modified Android-like operating system)
So running Steam and thus pc games on it is not possible.

The Switch would make for a fantastic Steam link client though.
Microsoft took great advantage of that flaw since Steam runs on PC, Xbox One owners have the possibility to use the streaming feature via Wireless Display App (a great business strategy indeed). That's why there are cross-platform games available on Switch.
There's also the compatibility issue: PC-compatible games aren't necessarily compatible on Switch... and even if they're "compatible", you still need to pay again.
Anyway, you cannot link a Steam account on your Switch (unless you do it via Android, but I don't want to dwell on it honestly).
BUT, you can (and yes) actually link an Epic Games account on your Switch! But I think it's only for Fortnite... yeah... whatever.
BUUUT, if you play The Witcher 3 on PC, there's Steam cross-save for the Switch! (but you still need to own the game on both platforms... y-yeah -_- )

If you install Ubuntu on it, for example, it should technically work. You just can't run switch games on it anymore. Maybe there's a way to dualboot, I haven't done much research on that.
You never could as there are no Steam games supporting the ARM achitecture of Switch.
you can prob modify the switch or something to make it work

The Witcher 3 isn't emulated, it's compiled natively.

Which is the point of his post: if it "barely runs" natively, it's not going to *improve* when it's emulated...

Emulation always comes at a price.
I've watched my fair share of dykg and tetrabit gaming and modern vintage gamer to know that is true. Some emulated games have had things either removed, compressed asses or both. Porting would be preferable, but it would still have nearly the same risks as emulation.

That has nothing to do with emulating. Those are downsides of bad ports.

Of bad ports and emulation.
