How do I hide my activity from certain friends?

So I have this one friend who's been kind of messaging me a lot wanting to play games. While I do enjoy playing with him sometimes, there are many times where I'm not always in the mood or I'm busy and most recently I've even been making sure to shut down steam just so he doesn't think Im online when I've merely closed it in the background.

Now I know how to make my activity invisible, but can I do that only for certain friends? I don't want to block him, but I also don't wanna hide my activity from all my friends. is this possible?

No. There is currently no way to only hide your activity from certain friends.

Just be honest with the guy and say `no` more often, if he really is a friend he`ll be fine with it.

Just say NO. It's a good word. If you don't feel like it or just don't want to do something say NO. Learn to say it now as you'll need to say it more often later in life.

No need to close Steam. Don't sign in to friends or switch it to invisible/Offline.

If he's the former then that's his problem for being a selfish *ick not yours.

You can block people, but there's no way to specifically hide from someone. They can always log out and stalk you that way.

Bruh I met this kid via a trading process and asked me if I'd be his friend....I said sure and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ whenever he sees me playing he always msgs me, asks me to sometimes broadcast, asks me to play gta online with him and recently asks me to let him play via remote play too... I felt bad for him cause he has strict parents but damn it's just getting annoying. I wish there was an option show you're inactive to only 1 friend
